I recently spent two months on Ascension Island to do some geological mapping and rock sampling for my master thesis. I am very glad I found your website to have a look at the island some years ago.
These days the Island seems to be much greener, a lot of mexican thorn grows everywhere, which makes it hard to move through the rocks. however I really enjoyed the stay... a great place! Best regards from Bonn, Germany! Sebastian |

Remember meeting you very well in Dec 79 starting 6 months on the island after school. Happy days editing the Islander and learning to dive with Chris Royal.
Great site. All the best. Peter |

My favorite picture is All I was on Ascension during the early 80s. I stumbled on to site by mistake, but i'm glad i did. It was truly amazing to see some of the wonderful teachers who taught me during those years. This sight has brightened my day. My father was the Late Vernon George, who was the caretaker at Two Boats School. |
