"Supernova" was completed in 1996 and measures 44" x 37". I made the circular center a few years ago after I bought the wedge ruler and design paper and started doodling. When I found the pointillist fabric I knew it was perfect for this and made the center. It lay on my unfinished pile until I found out that the company who produced the pointillist palette was holding a competition. I just had to mount my circle to the required size and there was my entry! That's where the fun began because when I returned to the fabric store, they had already sold thier stock of red toned pointillist fabric and were not planning on getting any more! So I had to settle for the orange-through-black background rather than the red-through-black I wanted. The piece was entered in the competition and was chosen as a semi-finalist - I was very pleased! It will be hanging on the wall over the computer soon.
